We have written a lot of long detailed articles over the years. So, in order to save time, this article is going to be the shortest article I have ever written. Social Media can work well for B2C. Social Media is usually a waste of time for B2B unless you are going to spend a lot of money on your brand. If you think you can have someone create social media posts at your company and it will help grow your business, you have another thought coming.
Social media marketing is complex, and in all my years of experience, I see B2C do very well using social media marketing, but I rarely see B2B do well with it. If you are doing it just to stay relevant and spending an hour a week, I think that's fine, but don't invest more time and money unless you plan to invest a lot of money; even then, I am not sure it's worth it for most businesses.
